Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Kimberley K. Eggleston
Serve these fries as an appetizer, or in place of regular french fries for a rather healthy side dish! These baked fries are low in fat, and loaded with a healthy dose of vitamin A.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes

  • 1 pound sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1/4 inch strips (about 2 large sweet potatoes)
  • 1 Tbsp canola oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground red pepper

1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.

2. In a large bowl, combine the potatoes and canola oil. Sprinkle the salt and red pepper over the potatoes, and toss all ingredients together. Spread the potatoes in a single layer, on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.

3. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the fries are crisp.

better than frozen, Member kristen.atkinson

I debated on whether to buy the frozen sweet potato fries and make them myself and I am so glad I found this recipe. They turned out great, better than the frozen. Very quick and easy to prepare and very delicious!
