This creamy, low calorie ranch salad dressing is easy on the waistline, but full of all the flavor you expect from ranch dressing. Use it as a salad dressing, or even a dip.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Yield: 1 1/4 cups

Ingredients:

  • Ingredients for Low Calorie Ranch Salad Dressing:
  • 3/4 cup lowfat plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 lowfat buttermilk
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Preparation:

1. Whisk together the yogurt, mayonnaise, and buttermilk. Add the remaining ingredients, and stir well. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Makes 1 1/4 cups

I've never made my own ranch dressing from scratch and I'm glad this got to be my first. It is delicious! I followed the other reviewers advice and used sour cream instead of yogurt. It was thick so I added more buttermilk than called for - we all love it! I don't think I can go back to the bottled stuff again. Kimberley, you did a great job with this recipe!
