Pizza Sauce

An easy low calorie pizza sauce is easy to make with canned tomotoes and a few spices. You'll never go back to processed pizza sauce again.


  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloved, minced
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 28 oz. can Italian-style crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper


1. Heat olive oil in a deep sided skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and onion, and saute for 3 minutes, until tender.

2. Add the remaining ingredients, and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 20 minutes, until slightly reduced and thick.

Serves 10
