The light sauce on this grilled salmon sandwich makes it taste anything but low calorie. With a healthy portion of salmon, and whole wheat bun, this grilled salmon sandwich makes for a very healthy meal.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Yield: 4 Servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 3-oz. portions salmon
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp light mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp reduced-fat sour cream
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp dried dill
  • Additional salt and pepper
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns
  • 1 cup torn lettuce

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Split the hamburger buns, and arrange on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes, being carefull not to burn them.

2. Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, and add olive oil. Sprinkle the salmon pieces with 1/4 tsp of the salt and 1/4 tsp of the black pepper. Cook the salmon 4-5 minutes on each side, until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Keep warm

3. Make the sauce by combining the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, dill, and season with a dash of salt and pepper.

4. To prepare the sandwiches, place one salmon piece on each bottom half of bun. Spread about 2 teaspoons of sauce on each top half of bun, and top with 1/4 cup torn lettuce.
