Many of us get far too much sodium in our diets. While a good majority may come from processed foods, a good percentage comes from salt added during cooking! Diets high in sodium may lead to unwelcomed health issues such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and congestive heart failure. Today, try to season an item or two with fresh herbs, spices, and fruit zests instead of salt for healthier, more flavorful meals. Some popular herbs include fresh basil, cilantro, and tarragon.
