You can save yourself a great deal of calories and fat simply by chosing a smart cooking method. Simply stay away from cooking techniques that require the use a large amounts of butter and oil. In other words, steer clear of frying in any form! Do enjoy foods that are grilled, roasted, baked, poached, steamed, or sauteed or stir-fried in small amount of oil.

Having a good non-stick skillet as foods will not stick to the surface, even without the use of oil. You may also try preparing some foods in the oven that are traditionally fried. Examples include fries, breaded fish, and fried chicken.
