Now you are ready to bake the cookies. Place the cookies in the oven, and bake for ten to twelve minutes. Occasionally check the cookies as the cookies will begin to brown lightly around the edges when they are done. If you would prefer a softer, chewier cookie, bake a little less (about nine minutes). For a crisper cookie, bake for one to two minutes longer (about 13 minutes).
Remove the cookies from the oven, and allow them to cool on the pan for about five minutes. This way the cookies will hold together better when you go to transfer them to the cooking rack. Then, using a spatula, transfer them to a wire baking rack to cool until they are completely cooled. You can store the cookies in an airtight container for several days if there are any left! Now you have successfully made your own low calorie chocolate chip oatmeal cookies.
