I've seen many dieters start out their diet by skipping meals in an attempt to consume less calories, and I can't help but to intervene by telling them that is just doesn't work! Depriving the body of three square meals per day, plus healthy snacks, can lead to an overly hungry person when mealtime does come. That in turn leads to major overeating. Instead, I recommend three low calorie meals per day, plus small healthy snacks in between like fresh fruits and veggies, low calorie dips with pita chips, or yogurt. I think this makes for a more successful and happier dieter!
